Automobile Sector expects to touch new high on Dhanteras
Vijay Mongia has come with his family to Maruti showroom for getting delivery of Grand Vitara on the auspicious day of Dhanterash. According to Hindu tradition buying valuable things like gold, silver, cars and property on Dhanterash is considered as a way to attracting good fortune. Dhanteras usually comes a day before Diwali and usually it is busy day on car dealership of different brands. Most of the car dealership in the Delhi NCR region is witnessing a good festive buying around Diwali. Most of the automobile brands have launched good festive offers including cash discounts, free accessories and other value added services. Even dealerships are also provided easy financing option and onsite approvals to attract more and more car buyers.

As for April to September it registered modest growth of just half percent which is below the initial Industry forecast of 3 to 4 percent. All the automobile makers look at the ongoing festival season get bounce back in sales. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd held out hope for India’s automobile industry with a surge in sales during the Diwali season, after a disappointing September quarter which saw an 18% decline in net profit. At a time of vast stocks and deep discounts, the country’s largest carmaker expects a 14% jump in retail sales between the end of the inauspicious shraadh period, Dhanteras and Diwali. Maruti expects to sell approximately 297,000 units between 17 September and 31 October, up from 260,000 units sold between 29 September and 12 November last year.
